Men vs Women (Bible)

My old Bible & New One

My favorite book of all times is & forever will be the Bible. I am not religious by any means. I am a very Spiritual person though and all my life for as long as I remember I have read and studied the Bible. Good stuff in this book that transforms as we grow and transforms. I really want to say it changes as we change but the words stay the same. Probably why, since I was a child, I’ve thought it was a magical book. It is!! Don’t believe me, try it for yourself. Try different versions. Helps with understanding versus just reading.

Now with that full disclosure I’ve been reading lately and I found this interesting:

Luke 1 NLT

11 While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. 12 Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. 13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John. 14 You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, 15 for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.16 And he will turn many Israelites to the Lord their God. 17 He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.”

18 Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.”

19 Then the angel said, “I am Gabriel! I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news! 20 But now, since you didn’t believe what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time.”

Then fast forward:

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, 27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David28 Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!”

29 Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!”

34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”

35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. 36 What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.”

38 Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zechariah was “shaken and overwhelmed with fear” when the angel approached him. Then he decided to question the angel filled with doubt!! HA!!! Men, I’ll tell you. Whereas, Mary was “confused and disturbed”. Can’t you just imagine Mary with her head tilted like wth are you talking about. Lol. She too questioned the angel but to the respect of how can I have a child if I’ve never had sex, to which the angel answered her question (instead of silencing her for almost a year). And at the end of the conversation she simply says GODs will be done.
GODs will is done regardless. HE is in complete control despite how things look. Men are logical creatures first so things that cannot be logically explained must be proven to some degree. Hence Zechariah questioning the angel and only finding peace when the angel identifies himself as Gabriel. Sometimes by then it is too late though. LoL. Women, on the other hand, GOD created to be spiritual first. We become logical when things don’t make sense. Yet once we arrive at a logical answer we are back at peace and back to being the Spiritual creatures we were created as.
The Oneness that is GOD is both Logic & Spirit. Some will say that faith has no room for logic. But, faith is the most logical way to live when tomorrow is a mystery to all of us. GOD tells us to try HIM many times. Test HIM so HE can prove HIMSELF to be True. Many people believe partially. So GOD performs partially. HE can only do what we give HIM room to do. These days we believe that we do things so well that we barely give a second thought to allowing GOD to do it better.
Some men are barely using their brains nowadays, let alone to the full measurement as the creations of Logic GOD intended for them to be. They don’t ask the right questions to get to the earth changing answers that the world needs. Then some women have forgotten about GOD and striving to become the Spiritual creations that HE needs us to be. Spirit leads with wisdom, silence, love, and acceptance.
The world is so lost because we have no examples to show us how to be better. It’s hard to be great when everyone wants to be mediocre. It’s hard to stand out when everyone is trying so hard to fit in. The Light fades into the darkness when it is meant to bring the darkness into the Light. We must do something different in order to see the change we have been waiting for (something different). No one person can do it, we all have to do our part. Men & Women together hold the key to better days. Time to play our roles and heed our purpose!!
“I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.” ― Galileo GalileiLetter to the Grand Duchess Christina
